- Frank Marschner confirmed as Chief Information Officer
- Fund platform pushes digitalisation
As early as June 2018, the decision was taken to boost the status of IT in the company. The role of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) was created at the Management Board level. After Frank Marschner had occupied this role in an interim capacity in the preceding months, he was officially confirmed as a permanent Member of the Management Board on 1 November 2018.
As the person in charge of the entire IT department, Marschner is to expedite the consistent orientation of IT architecture and the provision of interfaces in order to facilitate the integration of external API interfaces. These changes are needed in order to be able to offer affiliated sales organisations and advisors more functionalities and evaluation options. Through the digitalisation of processes, Fondsdepot Bank wishes to focus more on the client view and create more client benefits.
Since the market is changing quickly, conversion of the company IT can only work with agile methods. Marschner possesses the skills needed here. The graduate engineer was able to gather comprehensive experience in the field of digitalisation as the former head of "Enterprise Architecture Management" in the Competence Center IT Management & Transformation at Horvarth & Partners and as Managing Principal for IT transformation at CAPCO.
Sebastian Henrichs, CEO of Fondsdepot Bank, is convinced by this personnel decision: "We have succeeded in integrating a proven expert in our company in the person of Frank Marschner, one who contributes experience from the management of various digitalisation, reorganisation and transformation projects with a focus on changing existing IT architectures."
"Today a bank is an IT company with a regulatory casing. There are fascinating tasks to solve in order to provide our clients with the best fund platform on the market," says Marschner, who is looking forward to the new challenge.
